Larger Fauna in Warwick Bushland
Reptiles and Amphibians are the most abundant larger animals present in Warwick Bushland. These include large populations of Western Bearded Dragon Lizards, Bobtails, skinks, geckos and several species of frogs. Venomous snakes occur here – so it is very important that people and dogs stay on paths.
Kangaroos visit the area infrequently and signs of Quenda (Southern brown bandicoot) activity have also been observed. Unfortunately, Rabbits are fairly common and foxes are also present. The species listed below have been found during fauna surveys by the West Australian Museum and others. Some of these have not been been seen for many years. You are most likely to see lizards, especially bobtails and dragons.
